Hi I have just started using Sandcastle via this app, and it works really well. I am trying to adopt a more professional approach and so as well as Sandcastle I am looking at TDD and NUnit and possibly Cruise Control. Really what I want is a single one click build process. Can anyone explain how I do a 'post-build step to a Visual Studio project' and can I run SHFB projects from a bat file.

You can use the console mode builder to do that. This is covered in the help file. See the Console Mode Builder help topic. It tells you how to set up a post-build step and how to use the command line options and an optional response file. Using that info, you should be able to integrate it into anything that can run scripts or command line tools during a build.
