SyncTOC button - how to remove it?

What's the purpose of the SyncTOC button that's created in the HTML Help files and is there any way to remove it?

Where are you seeing it? I don't see one in every page. There's a Sync To TOC option in the index pane of the website output. If you navigate to other pages using links to topics in the right hand pane, the table of content won't necessarily match the actual topic displayed. Sync To TOC will get them back in synch.

Yes, it's located in the TOC.html file that's generated. We weren't sure of it's purpose and our UI folks wanted to see if we could remove it. I couldn't find any template file that was used to create the TOC.html file - is it fully generated from scratch?

It's in the .\Web folder (TOC.html). You can delete the first <img> link to get rid of it.
