I think some one else had this issue with a prior release. Uninstall the package from the Extension Manager dialog in Visual Studio, restart Visual Studio to make sure it's gone, close Visual Studio, then install the package. You can run the VSIX file from the .\InstallResources folder directly rather than going through the guided installer.

Thankx for the tip. I have tried it but it does not work with VS 2013 RC.

I've got VS 2013 RC installed in a VM with Windows 8.1 and the SHFB package installs just fine and is there. I can see it in the Extensions and Updated dialog. I can also see the Documentation category in the New project dialog. It's in the Templates category between the SQL Server and JavaScript project types on my system. If you can run the VSIX installer manually, it will give you an error if it can't install it successfully.

I had a look at the Extension manager in Visual Studio and there was no SHFB extension installed.
A manual install of the vsix file did fix it.

Thanks for you help!
