I’ve just published the first official release of my version of the Visual Studio Spell Checker. My main goal in creating this was to provide a tool that could be used to spell check MAML topics in SHFB projects but it supports spell checking of code comments
and literal strings as well in any project type which is a plus. It’s available online from:

Since it’s available in the gallery, it can be installed from within Visual Studio using the Tools | Extension Manager option.

For users of the standalone GUI, I have implemented spell checking within it as well. That will be made available in the next release of SHFB.
