Overriding xsl files

On the following page it's described how to override certain parts of the style:
http://www.ewoodruff.us/shfbdocs/html/77d2d693-db84-4ae3-a84c-e33c71f92e9a.htm
However, this only seems to affect styles, scripts, and icons. I don't see any way to override any of the transforms.
I have a custom XML tag that I'd like to use in "main_sandcastle.xsl". This works great if I change it directly in the install folder, but since I need this on a per-project basis, I can't really change it here.
This post here seems to indicate that a feature is coming that allows you to point to an entire new style folder: http://shfb.codeplex.com/discussions/403277. Is this available now, and if so, could you give me a pointer how to use that?

You can create custom presentation styles by cloning the files and creating a custom presentation style definition file that tells SHFB how to use them. See that topic and its walkthrough for more information.
